Favorite Workout Song?

I love music with a great beat as it always moves me. So it tends to change with my moods and the power I am looking to pull into my workout from it. But if I was to choose one song that has been selected and chosen over my “Fittish” life, I would say it’s “Beautiful People” by Marilyn Manson. The power and build in the song just gets me through some of my hardest workouts!

What hobbies/interests do you have?

I have three main ones currently that are outside of my health interests. Volleyball is my favorite hobby. I have played my whole life and plan on playing until my body physically won’t let me anymore. Being from Chicago I only since moving here have had a yard to really start my gardening hobby (which I know will be more than that as I have a couple of very talented gardeners in my family) but so far it has become one that I LOVE! I love getting my hands dirty and I love finding pieces that are old and tired and redoing them to bring life back to them and have them begin a new story in our home aka NOVICE DIY junkie!!

What makes you happy?

My family and loved ones (that includes our furry members too) make me happy.

What one word describes you?

Honest – what you see is what you get.

What is your greatest accomplishment?

The birth of my son.

Why did you get into fitness?

I have always been “fittish” and been active and eaten healthy. I would play volleyball multiple times a week, workout regularly and eat cleanish but I wasn’t sleeping eight hours a night (or even close to it or regularly). I wasn’t worried about being hydrated or eating properly balanced meals. If it wasn’t from a fast food chain or a restaurant and I made it… I considered it “clean eating”. Plus I lived in Chicago and I am a lifetime Cubs fan which meant beer was in my nutrition plan as well. It wasn’t until I became a mom (around four plus years ago) and the well being of tiny humans became a top priority in my life that I really got into fitness and learned what it really meant to be healthy and living life so we are practicing preventative healthcare versus sick care. 2017 is where I took my fitness to the next level and began getting certified to teach classes and share my passion with others!
