Hello! My name is Christi and I’d like to tell you a little about myself and why I started my fitness journey.
I am a mom of 4 kids who has struggled with being unhealthy, overweight, uncomfortable and insecure my entire life. For most of my life I thought this was “normal”. Just a part of life. After receiving news from my doctor regarding some lab work I had done, I was devastated to find out that I was slowly killing myself with the choices I was making. So I knew I had to change. But where do you start? Who can I trust to help? What’s the best and right way to get healthy? How do I begin to undo all the habits I had created? Let me tell you… NOT EASY! But I was determined, one step at a time. One day at a time. I met with a dietician initially to start me off. She encouraged me with small daily choices, which lead to bigger choices and bigger effects. Having the accountability in the form of support, and not rigid rules and judgement was the key to starting off right! No fad diets, no rules regarding exercise and food limitations. Just support, encouragement and education.
So, here I am, 2 years later 80 lbs down (with more to lose), a Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. My story is SO far from over!I still have days where I feel like giving up. I will NOT give up! I will NOT give up on me….or on YOU! My goal is to help, encourage, support and educate you on your journey to BEING YOUR BEST YOU! Together, we can bring joy to being fit!
